Grace + Hope
Children's Home
STEPHEN WABUKO, G+H CO-FOUNDER
"I was orphaned myself as a young boy, and know how hard it was to grow up without family. It is me and Viola's life mission to help make sure these kids have support and community."

OUR STORY
Grace + Hope Children’s Home was founded by Stephen and Viola Wabuko in 2017 and began as a community-based intervention program, focusing on food and education services to vulnerable, orphaned and/or abandoned children.
Stephen himself was orphaned as a child and grew up in Migori county, witnessing first-hand the suffering and vulnerability of many of the children in the area. Stephen knew he wanted to dedicate his life to helping vulnerable children and giving them a safe home and an opportunity to thrive.
Stephen and Viola graciously opened their modest village home to two children who lost their parents from HIV/AIDS. Word quickly spread about this family taking in and caring for orphaned children. More children arrived and Stephen and Viola did not hesitate to accommodate them, even with limited space and mounting costs. To date in 2022, just a few years later, 63 children have found a home with Grace + Hope and there are dozens of children on the waiting list.
Every child at Grace + Hope has a safe and loving environment with access to food, water, clothes, healthcare, medicines, and education. The entire organization sustains all of this with no government assistance and supports all children with Stephen’s modest salary and charitable donations.
Grace + Hope needs our help. Please consider donating today.
